Christmas Perler bead patterns

Ornaments and decorations for fuse beads, every one small enough for a single square pegboard and quick enough to make in an afternoon.

Ornaments in an afternoon

Fuse bead decorations are the fastest handmade Christmas ornaments there are: place the beads, iron, and hang them the same day. Thread a ribbon through a bead hole near the top before ironing the second side, or leave one peg empty to make a hanging hole. Each pattern page counts the beads by colour, so you can check your stash before you start.

Sizes and boards

Every design here fits a standard 29 × 29 square pegboard with 5 mm midi beads. The 16 × 16 pixel designs finish at about 8 cm across, a good size for a tree ornament or a gift tag. For mini beads, the same pattern comes out at roughly half the size.

Frequently asked questions

What is the easiest Christmas Perler bead pattern?

The candy cane and the snowflake use very few colours and simple shapes, and finish in well under an hour including ironing.

How do I hang a Perler bead ornament?

Leave a gap at the top for a hook, or thread ribbon through the hole of a top bead before ironing the back. Fishing line and a dab of glue also work for lighter pieces.

Do these work with Hama or Artkal beads?

Yes. 5 mm midi beads from Perler, Hama, Artkal, Nabbi and MARD all fit the same pegboards, and each pattern can list colours for your brand.

Are the patterns free?

Yes. Every pattern is free with a printable PDF and a bead count.
