About this design
The tree is built from three stacked tiers, each wider than the one above, which is the clearest way to draw a fir tree in pixels. The left side of each tier is bright green and the right side a darker green, so the tree looks lit from the left. A gold star sits on top, a few red pixels hang as baubles, a short brown trunk peeks out below and a strip of pale snow grounds it.
How to use it
Use it for a festive game level, a holiday avatar or an Advent calendar icon. Export at 8× or 16× for a crisp image. In the editor you can move the baubles or add more colours, and the sprite makes a quick fuse bead ornament or a tiny cross-stitch card. The sprite fills 100 of the 256 pixels and leaves the rest transparent, so it sits cleanly on any background colour in a game or on a web page.
Colour plan
#33AA44 does the most work, 38% of the 100 pixels, followed by #113322 at 32%. #EEEEFF (6), #775533 (5), #FFDD33 (4) and #DD3333 (2) are used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 61% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 7 times.
