Free peyote bracelet patterns

Even-count peyote bands for 11/0 cylinder beads, each with an offset chart, a written word chart and the number of beads in every colour.

Every bracelet here is charted for even-count peyote stitch with size 11/0 cylinder beads. The chart columns are offset by half a bead, exactly as the beads sit in the finished band, and the word chart below lists the beads for rows 1 and 2 together, then every following row, so you can stitch without counting squares.

The bands are 12 to 16 beads wide and about 16 to 17 cm (6¼ to 6¾ inches) long before the clasp. To fit a different wrist, add or remove whole repeats of the motif at either end.

Bead counts include every colour and an approximate weight, so you can buy the right size tubes. The colours are generic cylinder bead shades with descriptive names; choose the closest finishes you can find, and remember that matte, opaque and metallic finishes change how a colour reads.

All the designs are original and free to make under CC BY-NC 4.0. Open one in the editor to recolour it, change its width or switch it to brick stitch for earrings.

Frequently asked questions

What is even-count peyote?

A beadweaving stitch where each row adds a bead in every other position. With an even number of beads across, the turns at each edge are simple.

Which beads do I need?

Size 11/0 cylinder beads. Round seed beads also work but make a softer, less regular band, so the design will look slightly different.

How do I read the word chart?

String the beads listed for rows 1 and 2, then work each following row in the order shown, alternating direction at each edge.

How do I make it longer?

Repeat the pattern from the start of a motif until the band fits your wrist, then add your clasp.
