About this design
Every adventure game has one: the round-bottomed bottle that restores your health. This version keeps to the conventions that make a sprite readable at a glance. A one-pixel dark outline separates it from any background, the cork is two shades of brown so it looks like a cylinder rather than a flat block, and the empty neck is a pale glass blue. The magenta liquid fills the bulb, with a darker shade down the right-hand side for shadow and three pale pink pixels as bubbles. A white streak on the upper left is the reflection that tells your eye the bottle is glass.
How to use it
Download the PNG at 8× or 16× for a crisp icon; pixel art should always be scaled by whole numbers with nearest-neighbour resizing so the edges stay sharp. To make different potions, open the design in the editor and replace the two liquid colours: green for poison, blue for mana, gold for luck. The grid also works as a fuse bead or cross-stitch chart, so switch the craft in the editor if you want to make a physical version.
Colour plan
#222233 does the most work, 33% of the 128 pixels, followed by #CC44AA at 29%. #AA7744 (6), #FFFFFF (3), #FF99DD (3) and #775533 (2) are used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 50% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 7 times.
