About this design
The key stands upright with its round bow at the top, a hole in the middle and a single pale yellow pixel as a glint on the gold. The shaft runs straight down and two teeth stick out to the right near the bottom, which is the detail that makes it read as a key rather than a ring on a stick. A dark brown outline keeps it crisp on any background, and the whole sprite uses only three colours.
How to use it
Pair it with the treasure chest sprite for a classic locked-and-found game moment, or use it as a “locked” icon in an interface. Export at 4×, 8× or 16× with nearest-neighbour scaling. Recolour it to silver or bronze in the editor for different keys, or make it in fuse beads as a keyring. The sprite fills 79 of the 256 pixels and leaves the rest transparent, so it sits cleanly on any background colour in a game or on a web page.
Colour plan
#442211 does the most work, 53% of the 79 pixels, followed by #FFCC33 at 46%. #FFFF99 (1) is used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 69% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 8 times.
