About this design
The gem has a classic brilliant-cut silhouette: a flat table on top, a horizontal girdle line and a pointed base. Facets are shown in three blues, lightest on the left and darkest on the right, with white sparkle pixels near the top.
How to use it
Use it as a game collectible, a reward chart sticker or a birthstone card. Recolour it red for ruby, green for emerald or purple for amethyst in the editor and make a set of fuse bead jewels.
Size and bead counts
The picture fills 132 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 16 squares wide and 13 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 5 colours: black 46 (#111122), teal 41 (#33BBEE), light teal 25 (#77EEFF), blue 18 (#1177BB), white 2 (#FFFFFF). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 8.0 × 6.5 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.9 × 2.4 cm, or 3.7 × 3.0 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.
Colour plan
#111122 does the most work, 35% of the 132 pixels, followed by #33BBEE at 31%. #FFFFFF (2) is used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 48% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 9 times.
