About this design
The coin is a circle with a darker gold rim inside the outline, an embossed bar in the centre with a darker shadow, and two pale pixels of shine on the upper left. The shading runs darker on the right, so the coin looks slightly domed.
How to use it
Use it as a reward chart token, a pirate party decoration or a game sprite. Make a stack of fuse bead coins for a treasure hunt. Change the gold to silver or bronze in the editor for a medal set.
Size and bead counts
The picture fills 192 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 16 squares wide and 15 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 5 colours: yellow 113 (#FFCC22), black 42 (#332200), dark yellow 30 (#DD9911), orange 5 (#AA6600), light yellow 2 (#FFFFAA). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 8.0 × 7.5 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.9 × 2.7 cm, or 3.7 × 3.5 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.
Colour plan
#FFCC22 does the most work, 59% of the 192 pixels, followed by #332200 at 22%. #AA6600 (5) and #FFFFAA (2) are used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 25% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 9 times.
