About this design
The fox face is a wide triangle: tall ears with dark inner edges at the top, a broad orange forehead and white cheeks that taper to a small black nose. Square black eyes sit low, which gives it a calm, clever look rather than a cartoon stare.
How to use it
It fits woodland nursery themes, autumn cards and forest-animal sets with the owl and frog. Stitch it on a pencil case, bead it as a keyring, or use it as an avatar. Change the orange to grey in the editor for a wolf.
Size and bead counts
The picture fills 158 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 16 squares wide and 14 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 4 colours: orange 70 (#EE7722), dark brown 54 (#332211), white 30 (#FFEEEE), dark orange 4 (#552211). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 8.0 × 7.0 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.9 × 2.5 cm, or 3.7 × 3.2 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.
Colour plan
#EE7722 does the most work, 44% of the 158 pixels, followed by #332211 at 34%. #552211 (4) is used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 38% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 10 times.
