About this design
Frogs are all about the eyes, so these sit high and wide, each a white square with a black pupil. The body is two greens, with a lighter belly and darker feet, and two pink cheek pixels make the face friendly. The wide mouth line runs almost the whole width of the face.
How to use it
Use it as a game character, a pond-life lesson illustration or a sticker. In fuse beads it needs six colours; to simplify, merge the two greens in the editor. It also makes a fun cross stitch for a child’s backpack.
Size and bead counts
The picture fills 166 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 16 squares wide and 13 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 6 colours: darkest green 66 (#223311), light green 54 (#55BB44), lightest green 22 (#AADD77), white 16 (#FFFFFF), dark green 6 (#338833), red 2 (#DD5566). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 8.0 × 6.5 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.9 × 2.4 cm, or 3.7 × 3.0 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.
Colour plan
#223311 does the most work, 40% of the 166 pixels, followed by #55BB44 at 33%. #338833 (6) and #DD5566 (2) are used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 35% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 10 times.
