About this design
The crescent uses two yellows, a pale one for the lit face and a deeper gold along the inner edge, which gives it a soft three-dimensional curve. Three small stars sit in the open side of the crescent at different heights.
How to use it
Use it for bedtime routines, Ramadan and Eid decorations, a nursery picture or a goodnight card. On a navy background in the editor it makes a striking night sky cross stitch.
Size and bead counts
The picture fills 106 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 16 squares wide and 14 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 4 colours: dark blue 53 (#111133), light yellow 42 (#FFEE77), dark yellow 8 (#DDBB44), yellow 3 (#FFDD55). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 8.0 × 7.0 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.9 × 2.5 cm, or 3.7 × 3.2 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.
Colour plan
#111133 does the most work, 50% of the 106 pixels, followed by #FFEE77 at 40%. #DDBB44 (8) and #FFDD55 (3) are used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 59% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 7 times.
