About this design
A thick black bar of sunglasses runs right across the face, with a white glint on each lens. The smile is lopsided, rising to one side, which is what makes the face look cool rather than just happy.
How to use it
Use it for summer party invitations, a “you rock” card or a sticker for a pencil case. It makes a bold, quick fuse bead project. Change the lenses to mirrored blue in the editor for a beach look.
Size and bead counts
The picture fills 208 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 16 squares wide and 16 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 5 colours: light yellow 104 (#FFCC22), light black 53 (#332200), dark black 40 (#111122), dark yellow 9 (#DD9911), white 2 (#FFFFFF). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 8.0 × 8.0 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.9 × 2.9 cm, or 3.7 × 3.7 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.
Colour plan
#FFCC22 does the most work, 50% of the 208 pixels, followed by #332200 at 25%. #DD9911 (9) and #FFFFFF (2) are used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 19% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 8 times.
