About this design
Two stems rise from the cherries and meet at a single leaf, forming an upside-down V. Each cherry is a red circle with a darker shadow on the lower right and a pink highlight on the upper left, which makes them look round and glossy.
How to use it
Cherries are a retro favourite for kitchen decor, tea towels and vintage-style cards. They make a quick cross stitch and a small fuse bead pair for earrings or charms. Change the red to dark purple for black cherries in the editor.
Size and bead counts
The picture fills 112 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 15 squares wide and 14 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 6 colours: black 57 (#221111), red 26 (#DD2233), dark red 14 (#991122), dark green 8 (#336622), green 5 (#559933), light red 2 (#FFBBBB). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 7.5 × 7.0 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.7 × 2.5 cm, or 3.5 × 3.2 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.
Colour plan
#221111 does the most work, 51% of the 112 pixels, followed by #DD2233 at 23%. #336622 (8), #559933 (5) and #FFBBBB (2) are used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 56% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 13 times.
