About this design
Three greens build the ring, a dark base with mid and light green tips scattered around it, and single red stitches read as berries. The bow at the bottom has two loops and two tails in red with darker shading. The empty centre is deliberate: it frames a name, an initial or a year.
How to use it
Stitch it in a small hoop and add a family initial or the year in the middle using the text stamp, and the hoop becomes a door decoration. It also suits a card front or a framed piece for the hallway. Change the bow to gold or blue in the editor to match your decorations.
Size and threads
The chart is 21 stitches wide and 21 tall, with 235 full cross stitches in 6 colours: DMC 310 Black (91), DMC 699 Green (76), DMC 321 Red (38), DMC 909 Emerald Green Vy Dk (15), DMC 704 Chartreuse Bright (9), DMC 498 Red Dark (6). On 14-count Aida the design measures about 3.8 × 3.8 cm (1.5 × 1.5 in); on 18-count it shrinks to 3.0 × 3.0 cm. Cut the fabric at least 5 cm larger than the design on every side so it fits a hoop, and use two strands on 14-count. Each colour needs well under one skein.
Colour plan
DMC 310 Black does the most work, 39% of the 235 stitches, followed by DMC 699 Green at 32%. DMC 704 Chartreuse Bright (9) and DMC 498 Red Dark (6) are used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 47% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
57 squares stand alone in their colour, with no same-coloured neighbour along a side; stitch those as you pass rather than starting a new thread for each. The busiest row changes colour 13 times.
Anchor equivalents
