About this design
The bunny is Blanc, outlined in Pearl Gray (415) so it shows on white fabric. Its tall ears have a stripe of Dusty Rose (3716) inside, the eyes are two small black squares, and there is a pink nose in the middle with Rose (3326) cheeks either side. It is symmetrical, so after the left half the right is the same thing mirrored.
Stitch counts: 137 in BLANC (White), 66 in 415 (Pearl Gray), 14 in 3716 (Dusty Rose Med Vy Lt), 8 in 310 (Black) and 8 in 3326 (Rose Light), 233 full cross stitches in all. One skein of each colour is plenty.
How to work it
Start with the grey outline of one ear, which sets the height of the whole design. Keep all your top stitches crossing in the same direction; it is the one habit that makes a finished piece look tidy. Two strands on 14-count Aida work well.
Finishing ideas
On 14-count Aida the 17 × 18 stitch design comes out at about 1.2 × 1.3 inches, and on 18-count about 0.9 × 1.0 inches. Mount it in a 4-inch hoop, or use it for an Easter card or a baby gift.
Colour plan
DMC BLANC White does the most work, 59% of the 233 stitches, followed by DMC 415 Pearl Gray at 28%. DMC 310 Black (8) and DMC 3326 Rose Light (8) are used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 24% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
4 squares stand alone in their colour, with no same-coloured neighbour along a side; stitch those as you pass rather than starting a new thread for each. The busiest row changes colour 12 times.
Anchor equivalents
The nearest Anchor colour for each DMC colour in this pattern, measured as ΔE 2000: up to 3 is very close, up to 6 close, up to 10 approximate.
