About this design
The ghost is a rounded white sheet with a grey shadow down its right side and along the hem, which waves into three points. Big square eyes, pink cheeks and a small round “oh” mouth make it look more startled than frightening.
How to use it
It is ideal for young children’s Halloween crafts: four colours and a simple shape. Make it in glow-in-the-dark beads for the white, or stitch it on a treat bag. Draw a little hat on it in the editor for a costume party.
Size and bead counts
The picture fills 180 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 14 squares wide and 15 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 4 colours: white 104 (#FFFFFF), dark blue 60 (#222233), light blue 14 (#CCCCDD), light pink 2 (#FF99BB). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 7.0 × 7.5 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.5 × 2.7 cm, or 3.2 × 3.5 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.
Colour plan
#FFFFFF does the most work, 58% of the 180 pixels, followed by #222233 at 33%. #FF99BB (2) is used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 30% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 15 times.
