About this design

The egg is taller than it is wide and narrower at the top, as real eggs are. It is painted in horizontal bands of pastel blue, pink, green, yellow and lilac, with a row of dots in a contrasting colour on most bands and a white highlight near the top.

How to use it

Use it for Easter cards, egg-hunt clue cards and spring window decorations. Make a basket of them in fuse beads, each with the colours swapped in the editor. Pair it with the Easter chick.

Size and bead counts

The picture fills 156 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 12 squares wide and 16 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 7 colours: black 38 (#221122), light pink 28 (#FF99CC), yellow 28 (#FFEE66), green 27 (#88DD77), light purple 17 (#BB88EE), light blue 16 (#88CCFF), white 2 (#FFFFFF). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 6.0 × 8.0 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.2 × 2.9 cm, or 2.8 × 3.7 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.

Working notes

It is 16 × 16 pixels; at 8× scale it becomes 128 × 128. The busiest row changes colour 10 times.
