About this design

The four toe pads are slightly different sizes and angled outwards, like a real dog or cat print, and the heel pad is a wide rounded triangle. With only one colour there is nothing to get wrong, and the gaps between pads keep the shape recognisable even at a small size.

How to use it

Use it on a pet memorial card, a dog-walking business logo or a school team badge. It is one of the fastest fuse bead projects on the site, and stitched in black on a pale fabric it makes a neat pocket patch. Swap the black for a brand colour in the editor.

Size and bead counts

The picture fills 123 of the 256 squares in its grid, within an area 16 squares wide and 14 tall; the rest stay empty. It uses 1 colour: black 123 (#111111). Made with 5 mm fuse beads it measures about 8.0 × 7.0 cm and fits on one standard 29 × 29 pegboard. Stitched on 14-count Aida it is about 2.9 × 2.5 cm, or 3.7 × 3.2 cm on 11-count, so add a few centimetres of fabric on every side for the hoop.
