About this design
The bell is Flamingo with a black outline, a White highlight on the top left and a Pink frill along the bottom edge. Below it hang five tentacles in Lavender and Pink, each a single bead wide with a kink or two. There is no outline on the tentacles, which keeps them light but means they need careful ironing.
Bead counts: 78 Flamingo, 34 Black, 28 Lavender, 23 Pink and 2 White, 165 beads in all. Buy a few spares of each colour, because the odd bead always rolls away.
Placing the beads
The pattern is 17 × 16, so it sits inside one large square pegboard; centre it so there is a margin all round. Every tentacle bead touches the one above it along an edge, so each strand comes off the board in one piece; iron a little longer on the tentacles to make the joins strong.
Ironing and finishing
Ask an adult to iron it: ironing paper on top, a medium dry iron, slow circles, and stop when the beads are joined but the holes are still open if you want a lighter look. Turn it over, press the back and cool it flat. At about 8.5 × 8 cm it is just right for a window decoration or a mobile.
Colour plan
Perler 80-15203 Flamingo does the most work, 47% of the 165 beads, followed by Perler 80-19018 Black at 21%. Perler 80-19001 White (2) is used only a little: small details worth marking on the chart so you don't miss them. 39% of the grid is left empty.
Working notes
All the beads touch along a full side, so it irons into one solid piece.
