About this design

The sky is three bands of blue, Denim at the top, then Sky and Baby Blue near the horizon, with a pale Butter sun. In front, three ranges of mountains overlap: the far peaks are Pebble grey with Snow white caps, the middle hills are Sage, and the nearest ridge is a deep Forest green that fills the bottom of the throw. Because the shapes are long straight slopes, each diagonal row has only a few colour changes, but the wide format means plenty of rows.

Size and yarn

The graph is 60 × 40 blocks and is worked in 99 diagonal rows from the bottom-right corner. With 2.5 cm blocks (worsted yarn and a 5 mm hook) it measures about 150 × 100 cm; with 2 cm blocks in DK yarn it is about 120 × 80 cm. The largest colour is Forest, with 697 of the 2,400 blocks. The colours are our own named shades, so choose the closest yarn you can buy, and weigh a ten-block swatch to turn the block counts into an accurate yarn amount. Add a border in Forest to frame the landscape like a picture.
